Live and Not Dead at the Orange Lounge

The 'birds recording at the Orange Lounge Believe it or don't, we've recorded our debut album.
It took two nights of nerves, teas, tequila rose, bliss and coordinated outfits, some seriously supportive crowds and several hours of humming and hawing over what tunes to use, but it's all coming together. Thanks to the Orange Lounge and Record Label and to all the folks who were there to witness us try to be awesome. Think we managed okay. Look for it soon, more details to come.

Melly Row Your Boat Ashore

This weekend a little 'Bird called Melly is taping the video for her third single "Pretty Blue" from her Stranded in Suburbia record. The song is heartbreakingly lovely and the video concept is wicked-cool. Rumour has it she'll be dragging a boat all through the streets of Toronto. We look forward to oggling her coconut cracking biceps after the shoot has wrapped. Check in with Much More Music soon to request the video.

Rock Stars Among Us

Hamilton Music Sceen Awards Our Melly and our Leasey have both been nominated for Hamilton Music Scene Awards this year!!! Yeah, we know they deserve it. No matter how much bling they actually come home with, they're still the best and most talented. So there. (Girls, remember to thank Jesus our Saviour and Lord....)

Mrs. Something Somethings

Neen & Skee rockin' Wakefield Neen and Skeet have just returned from a highly successful East Coast Tour upon which they performed each night as an acoustic duo and then proceeded to shimmy and back-up sing 'till the wee hours in an Afrobeat band called Mr. Something Something. Man, it was fun. Neener debuted a haunting song called "Suddenly" which we all find to be brilliant. Skeet debuted a bank heist song called "Fat Tuesday" which is unhip in a fly kind of way.

Other Shizzzzzzzzzzz

Melly recently toured with Luke Doucet and Danny Michel and it was a resounding success. Lease has been hired for about 8 gzillion backing vocalist gigs that see her in the studio and onstage with a host of artists every week. Skeet is almost finished her solo record called "Swagger" and it will be release on November 26th. Neener is working on her sophomore album and is busy gearing up for some serious studio time.

As usual, we ask that you keep your knickers on, unless you want to take them off.

Much love from the Ladybird Looneyshow,
*Skeet
